These are little chocolate delights that are way more impressive than they should be. They are so easy and so good.
Ingredients:
– 100g Dark chocolate (72%)
– 60g Unsalted butter
– 2 x Eggs
– 95g Caster sugar
– Zest 1/2 Orange
Specialist equipment:
4 x Ramekins
Serves – 3/4 (depending on how big your pots are)
Method:
Step 1 – The melt
Preheat the oven to 120 degrees fan. Break the chocolate into chunks and place in a bowl with the butter. Melt the chocolate and butter over a pan of boiling water and stir until smooth. Remove from the heat and leave to cool slightly.
Step 2 – The whisk
In a bowl whisk the eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy. Whisk the egg mix into the melted chocolate and whisk until smooth. Zest in the orange and mix together.
Step 3 – The bake
Pour the chocolate into the ramekins and bake for around 45 minutes until they are just cooked. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
Step 4 – The serve
Serve each pot with a dollop of your choice of ice-cream on top. I chose salted caramel for mine.
These look great! You definitely can’t go wrong with chocolate orange!
